French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday kicks off a two-day visit to Serbia that is expected to yield a deal to sell Rafale fighter jets to the Balkan nation that has tried to balance ties with Russia and the West since Moscow’s Ukraine invasion. Serbia has been a candidate for EU membership since 2012 and hopes to strengthen ties with France.
