France win Olympics medals in rugby and judo, Australia’s Titmus shines in pool

Les Bleus beat defending champions Fiji in the rugby sevens final at the Stade de France, winning France’s first gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. The host country also picked up medals in judo, with Luka Mkheidze claiming a silver and Shirine Boukli a bronze. In swimming, Australia’s Ariarne Titmus outpaced Canada’s Summer McIntosh and the USA’s Katie Ledecky to win gold in the 400m freestyle.
