Organisers have promised an Opening Ceremony the likes of which audiences have never seen, to launch the 2024 Paris Games. More than 80 boats bearing nearly 7,000 athletes will set off from Paris’s Austerlitz Bridge for a floating parade up the River Seine, sailing past Notre-Dame cathedral to arrive at the feet of the iconic Eiffel Tower.
