Football and Rugby Seven matches will kick off the 2024 Paris Olympics on Wednesday, before the grandiose opening ceremony that will see hundreds of thousands of spectators line the banks of the River Seine on Friday. Secured by a huge police presence, Israel will play against Mali in men’s football as French rugby star Antoine Dupont and his team will face the US in men’s rugby.
